Private pools are generally available from the first week of May through the second week of October. Each home's property page lists its exact opening and closing dates. See our private pool guide.
Some private pools have a heated option. It must be requested and paid for before you arrive, and it can't be added at check-in or during your stay. Unless a home says otherwise, pools aren't heated in July and August. Heated pools generally reach 75 to 80 degrees, depending on the weather and air temperature.
Pools are cleaned, vacuumed and serviced on the day of arrival. A mid-week service includes chemical and mechanical checks, but not cleaning or vacuuming. The leaseholder is charged for any extra cleanings needed because of misuse.
Some homes have a gated pool or a kiddie pool, which is designed for children and 18 inches or less in depth. Use the amenity filters in the search results to look for them.
